Korda Wide Gape X Hooks
The Wide Gape X is basically a beefed-up version of the popular Wide Gape design, purposely designed to use when
targeting carp in snaggy waters or those ultra-demanding European waters. The hook comprises all the same features
as the Wide Gape but comes complete with a thicker gauge and a reinforced hook point. You can concoct many rigs
with the Wide Gape and with the addition of some shrink tubing, it can create an aggressive presentation that carp find
very hard to deal with. To develop a simple blowback rig, place the relevant sized Rig Ring onto the hook's shank,
Danny Fairbrass style. You can also create a very effective anti-eject rig by sliding some Silicone Tubing onto the shank.
This will trap the hair in place. Take a look at Rigz to learn how to do this.

Good hooks, they stay sharp... My go to hook
I use the size 8 hooks, and they are very sharp. I give them 1-2 strokes with a fine vile after each fish or after a couple of casts, and they stay super sharp.
However, I've had 2 hooks open up on me a little lately. One on a snag, and one on a fish. Fish got away, and felt like a big one. I was surprised the fish un-buttoned, and when I reeled in and checked the rig, the hook had opened up a bit.
Bending the hook on a snag (sunken tree), I can understand more, then bending it on a fish. This hook was brand new, and just rigged it up.
Strong hook, perfect in most condition
like everyone trying hook or looking for the best. and i try this one on size 6 and landed many carp on one hook once they bite is fish on!!! they never fail me yet only the line
Great hooks, very sharp. Haven't had a fish spit one of these yet.No shine so it's harder for the fish to detect them, until it is too late.
Love these hook's no ejection's, all around solid hook
Since I started using these hooks I would be reluctant to change, they are really sharp and as I fish at distance they are already set by the weight of the lead which means less lost fish
I have tried a lot of hooks and these seem to hold up to the larger fish very well. I like there is no shine to the hooks also since I fish a crystal clear lake and I did notice a big difference.
